A witness bearer is one who has experienced something and shares it truthfully. This column publishes that account — carried into print by the one who lived it.

Voices of the Witness Bearers is a standing column on The C.R.O.E. Report. Its readers do not need every contributor to share their faith; they need every contributor to bear honest witness. The phrase carries weight in the Holy Qur'an, translated by Maulana Muhammad Ali. “Thus We have made you an exalted nation that you may be the bearers of witness to the people” (Qur'an 2:143). “O you who believe, be upright for Allah, bearers of witness with justice” (Qur'an 5:8).

The column publishes testimony, not opinion. Contributors are believers, sympathizers, observers, scholars, family, and neighbors — anyone who has been affected and inspired by the Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad and the work of C.R.O.E.

Each entry is a witness placed on the record: how the Messenger's teachings, and the preservation of His work at C.R.O.E., have touched a life, corrected a course, or opened a clearer view of the time and what must be done.

You do not need to be a writer to be a witness bearer. If you would rather speak than write, tell us. We will record your account and transcribe it for your review, and nothing goes out under your name until you have read it.

Introduction to Birth of a Saviour.

July marks the anniversary of Master Fard Muhammad's coming on July 4, 1930. To honor that occasion, we share Brother Munir Muhammad's introduction to the book Birth of a Saviour, a writing that explains the significance of His coming and why this truth must be known.

Captain Wali Bahar.

The Messenger's Captain. The Protecting Friend.

The Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad named him. Every Temple had a Captain. Above them stood the Supreme Captain. Captain Wali Bahar holds none of those titles. He is the Messenger's personal Captain, and no one else holds that title.

This is the record of a man who has stood at his post for half a century while the Nation around it has rearranged itself three different ways. Presented with two archival artifacts — the 1975 Saviour's Day photograph above, and the 1977 Bilalian News clipping that recorded the renaming of the editor's family — the piece documents a living witness before the record he carries can be lost.
